The Clinic
In the winter of 2016, Westhills built a home base office and hospital facility just west of Stony Plain, AB. Here we are able to offer hospitalization for 24/7 care of patients as well as facilities appropriate for everyday appointments.
Our clinic is equipped with several monitoring stalls, stocks and all of our diagnostic equipment in order to make patients and clients safe and secure in a climate controlled environment. Our lower barn includes a fully heated 80x150 arena, 10 covered outdoor stalls with attached runs for patients that prefer being outdoors, several daytime turnout pens, and an expanded heated barn (known as our reproduction wing) equipped with 6 monitored foaling stalls, stocks, a wash rack and a laboratory area with semen storage. Our reception and waiting area is located in the front of the clinic building, as well as our in-house lab facilities which includes CBC and blood chemistry analysis, automated fecal parasite analysis system, and PRP/ProStride capabilities.
We may ask that you bring your horse in to us at the clinic in cases where on farm facilities are not appropriate (such as in cold weather or when on-farm facilities are not equipped for the type of appointment/treatment required), for 24/7 care or in emergency situations.
